AgriSaveur Pontiac
AgriSaveur is an exciting project born from a decision by the council of mayors at the MRC Pontiac in the fall of 2023. Recognizing that agriculture is a key industry in the Pontiac, and that the region has limited agri-food transformation capacity, the MRC decided to launch this signature innovation project aimed at fostering local economic growth and sustainability.
The AgriSaveur project is built on three key pillars that will support the growth of local agriculture and food-based businesses:
Commercial Kitchen for Rent
A fully equipped commercial kitchen available for rent by food producers and food-based businesses looking to transform raw ingredients into finished products.
Marketing of Locally Transformed Products
AgriSaveur will facilitate the marketing of locally transformed products, helping to promote the unique flavors and quality of the Pontiac’s agricultural output
Abattoir Services
The project includes an abattoir designed to serve agricultural producers and the wider community, providing essential services for the humane processing of livestock.
