The abattoir is operated by our cooperative, which is made up of dedicated regional producers, support members, and future employees who share a common vision: to provide an essential service to the agricultural industry, the local community, and the region at large. Our goal is to support sustainable practices and ensure high-quality, locally sourced meat products for everyone.
We offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of both producers and consumers. Our facility is equipped to transform meat into a variety of products, including cuts of meat, sausages, patties, and meatballs.
Our permit covers the processing of:
Bovin (cattle)
Caprine (goats)
Ovine (sheep)
Cervids (deer)
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the Coopérative de Solidarité AgriSaveur du Pontiac oversees operations and defines the cooperative’s strategic directions. It is made up of producer members, supporting members, and employee members, ensuring diverse representation. This board is committed to revitalizing the Shawville slaughterhouse and supporting local agricultural producers, playing a vital role in the development and sustainability of the cooperative.
